What is interim management?
Another term for this would be temporary management.
This means that the managers leave after successfully completing the precisely defined tasks. No hurt feelings, no complaints, no notice periods. But why let someone who has been successful go? Well, someone who was just the right person for a particular challenge may not be the right person for the next challenge that hasn’t occurred yet. What is the difference to traditional executive search?
In contrast to executive searches, which can take several months, interim managers are ready to go within 1-3 weeks and only need a short training period of a few days due to their extensive experience.

The EIM consultant is responsible for coaching the interim manager and serves both you and the EIM interim manager as a trustworthy and competent contact person.

We ensure this by carrying out a background check on all members in our database, including checking their references – a task that is never outsourced or delegated, but carried out by leading EIM partners themselves.

What does your process look like, and what happens if I give you a chance?
First, we gain an understanding of your current situation and why you are looking for an interim management solution.
Only then can we give you expert advice on how to achieve the desired goal. This also helps to define the profile of the ideal interim manager. The result of this analysis is recorded in writing.
Secondly, we will select suitable managers based on their career, education, expertise and performance in personal interviews. The profiles are then presented in written form – individually tailored to your current situation and target definition. The most suitable managers are then presented in person.
The interim manager can start work a few days after the decision has been made. At the start of the assignment, you, the interim manager and EIM draw up a basic job description to clearly define the scope and nature of the tasks to be performed.
Final objectives and milestones are defined together with the interim manager at the first steering meeting, which leads to the presentation of a project plan. Its implementation is monitored by a qualified EIM partner, who takes on a steering role throughout the project to ensure smooth, transparent communication and rapid problem-solving in the event of deviations.
During the course of the project, regular review meetings will determine whether additional obstacles need to be removed in order to achieve the desired project outcome or whether general market changes require an adjustment to the course of the project.
